In my final week before hand-in I decided to spend a day in the library and wrote myself a brief. I wanted to solve a complex visual communication problem using rules. I chose to raise awareness of the library's collection of Typographica Journals, edited by Herbert Spencer during the 1960s. I gave myself some rules to complete the project in a working library day, to use only photocopiers and analogue methods, use only imagery from the journals and to use no type at all. The final rule is inspired by the amount of non-type related articles I found while looking through the journal. It was something I didn't expect and was pleasantly surprised to find.
